The JUIT Timetable PWA is an independent academic utility built specifically for the students, faculty, and academic staff of Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), Waknaghat.
Its primary mission is to eliminate daily scheduling friction by transforming multi-sheet institutional timetable spreadsheets into a responsive, instantaneous, and offline-capable mobile experience.

How the Timetable PWA Works
The JUIT Timetable PWA is built around a fully automated data pipeline that syncs directly with the official JUIT timetable spreadsheets published by the university's academic office. Here is exactly how it works, from raw data to your screen:
- Automated Sync: An automated workflow runs periodically to fetch the latest official ODDSEMTT schedule from the university.
- Extraction: The raw spreadsheet is parsed to extract all lecture, tutorial, and practical slots across all active batches and every day of the week.
- Data Processing: Each batch schedule is processed and split into lightweight chunks to ensure fast, parallel delivery.
- Verification: Every generated file is validated against the source before being deployed. If a single batch fails, the entire update is rolled back.
- PWA Delivery: The verified, encrypted batch files are deployed to Vercel's edge network (100+ global PoPs) and cached in the browser's Service Worker cache for fully offline access — even inside buildings with no signal.
- Live Status: On your device, the app reads the current local time to highlight which class is active right now, how many minutes remain, which room it's in, and who the faculty is.

Is the timetable always up to date?
Yes. An automated workflow checks the official JUIT timetable file regularly. Whenever a change is detected, the entire database is rebuilt and deployed within minutes. You receive the latest schedule automatically.
Does it work without internet?
Yes, fully. The app is a Progressive Web App (PWA) with a service worker that caches all schedule data on your device. Once you have loaded your batch at least once, the full timetable is available offline — even in the middle of campus with no signal.
Does the app store any personal data?
No personal data is ever transmitted to any server. Your batch selection and theme preferences are stored only on your local device using browser localStorage. We do not collect names, roll numbers, or usage analytics that can be linked to individuals.
How do I find my faculty's timetable?
Tap the search icon on the landing page and switch to the "Faculty" tab. Type the faculty's name or short code (e.g. "SKK" or "Sharma"). Select the faculty from the suggestions to instantly view their full weekly schedule, current live status, cabin location, and which batches they are teaching each period.
Which browsers and devices are supported?
The app works on all modern browsers: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge on both Android and iOS. For the best experience including home screen installation, push notification support, and background sync, Chrome on Android is recommended.
Is this an official JUIT application?
No. This is an independent student-built utility. It extracts and presents the official timetable data published by the JUIT Timetable Committee, but it is not affiliated with or endorsed by Jaypee University of Information Technology. Always cross-reference with official notices for last-minute changes.
I found an error in the timetable. What should I do?
Use the Feedback button at the bottom of this page or the Contact page. Please mention your batch, the affected day and time slot, and the discrepancy you noticed. The timetable data is directly extracted from the official university spreadsheet, so discrepancies there will also appear in the app until the university updates their published file.
